OUR ACTIONABLE PARTNERSHIP REQUEST TO OHANAEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE

We respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Senator John Azuta-Mbata, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and the Global Executive Council to consider and support the establishment of a formal Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide–Think-Home Economic Development Partnership focused on industrialisation, investment mobilisation, enterprise development and productive economic growth in Alaigbo.

We respectfully propose the following immediate actions:

1. FORMAL ENDORSEMENT FOR CONSULTATION

That the Global Executive Council give formal consideration to the proposed partnership and authorise an initial consultation between representatives of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and the Igbo Think-Home Development Initiative.

2. ESTABLISH A JOINT WORKING COMMITTEE

That a professionally constituted Ohanaeze–Think-Home Economic Development Working Committee be established to develop the partnership framework, identify priority sectors and recommend practical programmes.

3. LAUNCH AN IGBO INDUSTRIAL OPPORTUNITY PIPELINE

That the partnership invite credible Igbo entrepreneurs, importers, manufacturers, investors, professionals and diaspora organisations to submit documented opportunities capable of progressing from:

IMPORTATION → ASSEMBLY → MANUFACTURING → VALUE ADDITION → EXPORT.

4. IDENTIFY PRIORITY INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS

That the Working Committee identify an initial portfolio of viable projects in agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, building materials, renewable energy, machinery, automotive components, packaging, technology and other commercially viable sectors.

5. MOBILISE INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

That Ohanaeze and Think-Home jointly facilitate appropriate engagement with credible Chinese, African and other international companies capable of providing technology, equipment, expertise, financing, joint ventures, market access and skills transfer.

6. ACTIVATE THE IGBO DIASPORA

That the partnership establish a structured channel through which qualified Ndigbo in the diaspora can contribute capital, technology, professional expertise, international market access and strategic partnerships toward productive projects in Alaigbo.

7. DEVELOP A PILOT PROJECT PORTFOLIO

Within the initial implementation period, the partnership should identify, document, screen and advance a limited number of credible projects as pilot Think-Home industrial opportunities, subject to appropriate technical, financial, legal and regulatory assessment.

8. CONVENE AN IGBO ECONOMIC AND INDUSTRIAL FORUM

That Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, in collaboration with Think-Home and appropriate stakeholders, consider convening an Igbo Economic and Industrial Development Forum bringing together government representatives, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, professionals, diaspora investors and international strategic partners.

9. ESTABLISH ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING

All projects advanced through the partnership should be appropriately documented, screened and monitored, with clear distinctions between proposals, screened opportunities, verified projects, partnerships, financing, implementation and completed outcomes.

The partnership should operate transparently and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

THE IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVE

The first objective is not to create another talking platform.

It is to create a working economic-development mechanism capable of identifying real opportunities, connecting credible people and resources, developing viable projects and helping move selected projects toward implementation.

Accordingly, we respectfully request that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide nominate appropriate representatives for an initial strategic consultation with the Igbo Think-Home Development Initiative, following which both parties can determine the appropriate institutional structure, terms of reference, priority sectors and implementation timetable.
