IGBO THINK-HOME DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE DECLARES STRICT EDITORIAL FOCUS ON IGBO DEVELOPMENT AGENDA
“Think-Home • Invest-Home • Build-Home”
Enugu, Nigeria — The Igbo Think-Home Development Initiative (Igbo Economic Initiative) has announced a new editorial and engagement policy directing that all postings, publications, comments, discussions and engagements across its official platforms shall remain strictly focused on the Think-Home Development Agenda, the collective interests of Ndigbo and the sustainable development of Alaigbo.
The Initiative said the policy is designed to promote focus, discipline and constructive engagement, ensuring that its platforms contribute directly to its Vision, Mission, Philosophy, Programmes, Policies, Projects, Investment Initiatives, Strategic Partnerships and Development Objectives.
ONE PLATFORM — ONE DEVELOPMENT AGENDA
The Initiative stated that its platforms are not general political, partisan, ideological or miscellaneous forums. Their principal focus includes Igbo economic development and productive investment; homeland enterprise and industrial development; agriculture and infrastructure; community development; land and productive assets; diaspora investment; youth enterprise and employment; human-capital development; technology and innovation; knowledge transfer; strategic partnerships; responsible capital mobilisation; research; policy; and investment-ready development projects.
Its guiding philosophy remains:
«THINK-HOME • INVEST-HOME • BUILD-HOME AKU-RURU-ULO — LET WEALTH RETURN HOME.»
Contributors are encouraged to ask whether their content promotes Think-Home, investment in Alaigbo, Igbo enterprise and development, or the Initiative’s programmes and objectives. Content outside this mandate may be declined, removed or redirected.
RESPONSIBLE ENGAGEMENT AND MODERATION
The Initiative emphasised standards of relevance, respect, integrity and responsible engagement. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, threats, intimidation, deliberate provocation, hate or divisive content are prohibited.
Knowingly circulating false information, fabricated claims, misleading materials or unverified allegations as established facts is also prohibited. Credible sources may be requested where appropriate.
Personal opinions, proposals or political positions must not be presented as official positions of the Initiative without authorisation. Likewise, no person may solicit funds, investments, donations or financial commitments in the Initiative’s name without prior authorisation and compliance with applicable requirements.
Designated Administrators, formally authorised by Management, will administer and moderate the platforms fairly, consistently and proportionately. Measures may include guidance, requests for clarification or correction, content removal, formal warnings, temporary restrictions, suspension or removal for serious or repeated violations. Matters involving fraud, threats, impersonation or potential unlawful conduct may be referred to appropriate authorities.
Constructive disagreement remains welcome where it is respectful, factual and development-oriented.
FROM DISCUSSION TO DEVELOPMENT
The Initiative called on Ndigbo to convert ideas and economic potential into measurable development. Professionals should identify viable projects; entrepreneurs build enterprises; investors mobilise responsible capital; the diaspora contribute investment, technology, expertise and global networks; communities protect productive assets; and governments and development institutions create enabling environments and legitimate partnerships.
The Initiative said Ndigbo must move:
From potential to projects; from projects to investment; from investment to enterprises; and from enterprises to jobs and sustainable wealth.
«“DO NOT ASK ONLY WHAT ALAIGBO CAN GIVE US. LET US ASK WHAT WE CAN BUILD FOR ALAIGBO.”»
